  1. Aerobics(WS)

    Course Description: If you enjoy dance, music and people, this program is for you. On completion you can start your own classes or join an aerobic studio. This course is designed to provide students with the information, instruction, education and experience needed to become a safe and effective fitness instructor. Students will be required to participate in classroom instruction, discussion and practical physical activity. Handouts will be provided.
    Course content: Topics to be included in the lectures include: choreography, music phrasing, motivation, cueing, class design, professional responsibilities, and injury prevention.
    Course objective: Students will learn how to create safe choreography and class design for aerobics. Students will demonstrate proper cueing and music phrasing in non-threatening atmosphere. Students will learn the importance of injury prevention as they relate to the field of fitness/ wellness. You will be required to teach a 32-64 count combo class in each of the following areas: Warm up Cool down Hi/Lo
    Course Duration: 2-3 times a week, 1 month.

  2. Weight training(WS)

    Course Content: Topics to be included in the lectures include: Applied anatomy, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Sculpting and Conditioning.
    Course evaluation: Written quizzes, practical tests outs and informal evaluations will be given.
    Course Duration: 2-3 times a week, 1 month.

  3. Bhangra aerobics (WO)

    While bhangra has had a long history, the music and rhythm of the dance have recently begun to influence popular music internationally, creating a 'modern dance movement'.   7. Post natal & prenatal fitness (L/D)

    The training course encompasses the biomechanics, Kinesiology and Physiology of fitness training for pregnant and post pat rum woman. This course will cover exercise strategies, marketing techniques, anatomy and biomechanics of pre & post natal fitness.

    What you will learn Upon successful completion of this certificate, the attendee will: Fully understand the physiology & biomechanical changes and be able to develop exercise programs for pre/post natal women for different forms of exercise Be able to market creative, effective and safe exercise programs for pregnant women with valuable sample promotional materials. Know how to integrate pre/post natal women into an existing exercise program Learn how to create a positive and supportive environment in which pregnant & post part rum women can exercise Understand the latest research & updates on exercise and pregnancy.

    Course Description: Giving resistance to your muscles, we either do weights or use gym equipment. This course teaches you as group fitness instructor or personal trainer to workout with a partner. It is an effective way to train without any equipment. The secret is simple: to get the necessary resistance, you pull or push against your partner's weight and muscle.
    Course Content
    : Topics include- Mechanics: Free weights, machines and the partner technique. Breathing and form, warm up & free body exercises, Basic program, Aerobic program: Peripheral heart action circuit training, Flexibility program: Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Advanced program: Negative emphasis training, special training, training & overtraining.
    Course Requirement: should have basic knowledge of anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology. It is advisable to take weight-training course prior to this course.
