Course Description: If you enjoy dance, music
and people, this program is for you. On completion
you can start your own classes or join an aerobic
studio. This course is designed to provide students
with the information, instruction, education and
experience needed to become a safe and effective
fitness instructor. Students will be required to
participate in classroom instruction, discussion
and practical physical activity. Handouts will be
provided.
Course content: Topics to be included in
the lectures include: choreography, music phrasing,
motivation, cueing, class design, professional responsibilities,
and injury prevention.
Course objective: Students will learn how
to create safe choreography and class design for
aerobics. Students will demonstrate proper cueing
and music phrasing in non-threatening atmosphere.
Students will learn the importance of injury prevention
as they relate to the field of fitness/ wellness.
You will be required to teach a 32-64 count combo
class in each of the following areas: Warm up Cool
down Hi/Lo
Course Duration: 2-3 times a week, 1 month.

the lectures include: Applied anatomy, Kinesiology,
